Hi there,

I just installed One Quick Post but I can't make it work.

I created a new page and paste the shortcode for the default form...

The form is displayed but when I click to "Create A Post and Continue", I get a 404 page!

The url of my form is something like :

http://www.MY-WEBSITE.COM/share/

and once I clicked the button to go the step 2 the URL change for :

http://www.MY-WEBSITE.COM/one-quick-post/?oqp_action=create&oqp_step=details

How could I fix this?

Moreover, within the Buddypress menu when I click on One Quick Post / Add new...

On step 02 when I click to NEXT, I'm redirected to step 01 again...

Any ideas?

I'm also experiencing problems with getting it to work.

When I click "Create A Post and Continue" I'm not getting to step 2!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi, I'm currently working on the BuddyPress version of the plugin.
I recently made deep changes in how the functions are hooked; so consider the BuddyPress version to be unstable, maybe this will be definitely fixed in some days.

@Jk_ : do you want to use OQP within BuddyPress or inside a page (with a shortcode); or maybe both ?

@Gordie : I was planning to use OQP with Buddypress! So when, I saw that it's wasn't working I tried directly within a page with shortcode...

Thanks for your time and keep doing! This plugin is great.

OK. All the changes I made seems to be great so it's just a question of time to make all this work together.
Also; have you got any ideas of specific functionnalities you would like to see with One Quick Post for BuddyPress ?

Regarding, the specific functionnalities... It's the first time that I'm going to use OQP with Buddypress so give me a couple of day to experiment and I will let you know, for sure.

I am experienced with WP but new to BuddyPress and I've never used the OQP before. I tried to create my own form but the shortcode shows in the page not the form. If I use the default form short code I see a form but when I click next step I get a page not found error. I'm not sure if this si the same problem you are already working on or not. Is there some guide to this plugin that I don't see? I really could use some instructions as I'm not figuring it out intuitively.

I haven't even figured out if this plugin will do what I'm trying to do or not. I want people to be able to add their own story to the site and return to edit it later. Will this work?

@Gordie : New version is working pretty well!

J'ai deux petites questions. Est-il possible de modifier le plugin pour que les posts soient classés dans les brouillons au lieu d'être directement publié? Et envoyer un mail à un groupe d'utilisateur pour signaler ce nouveau post brouillon?

@JK_ : oui, il suffit que l'utilisateur guest ait un rôle de contributeur (et non, par exemple, d'auteur). Il n'est alors pas habilité à publier directement. Envoyer un mail à un groupe..
J'ai créé une fonction similaire dans mon autre plugin, Your Classified Ads, mais elle n'est pas dans le "core" de OQP. Le mieux à mon avis serait de trouver un plugin tiers.
Donation > ça me ferait bien plaisir car ce serait la première en 4800 downloads :)

Do you have an BUG tracker system where I could help you to list them down?

J'ai placé le [shortcode] en-dessous d'un d'un paragraphe de texte... et quand je prévisualise la page ce même texte se retrouve en-dessous du formulaire. Pourrais-tu m'expliquer?

Bien vu, c'est un bug.
J'ai corrigé ça dans la version à venir (0.4.3).

I will double check the (Guest) problem...

A quick question, I tried to insert echo do_shortcode('[oqp_form "default-form"]'); within my template but nothing appears!

Could I directly use a php function instead? If yes, which one?

Is it possible to have a list of tags that they can choose from for the posts?

Something looks funny in the dashboard... the balloon tip text isn't hiding.

@_Jk : the easiest way is to use it within a page or post. If you absolutely need to load it elsewhere (in a template);
you have to know that the form is loaded in 2 steps; because we need to run some actions BEFORE the HTML starts to be generated.
Eg. like this quick dirty example. Tell me if it works, I didn't checked it.

@Gordie : The problem is that the editor can easily remove the shortcode from the page when the edit it!

So I tried your quick dirty example, I get this error :

Fatal error: Call to a member function oqp_get_block() on a non-object in /home/www/0a72502d13b5fdae14090ee9885bd33e/web/wp-content/themes/platformbase/functions.php on line 312

Any idea?

Hey everyone,

I am having the same problem as other users above - step 2 of posting when using the shortcode within a post doesn't work for me. The URL changes to: /?oqp_action=create&oqp_step=settings and I get the error "Error while trying to get this post."

Sorry - I don't speak French, so I am not sure if the answer has been given already.

I am wanting to use this plugin on my Buddypress site as well and would love to be a tester if needed.

By the way Gordie, when I try to edit a post (that has been published through OQP) from an other contributor (even when I'm logged in as an admin)... I got this message :

You are not the author of that post or you don't have the matching secret key.
Try by logging in or by giving us your super-secret editing key :

What's the super-secret editing key? :D

Admin should be able to edit contributor post without entering any key... Don't you agree?
